WEST HAM COULD NOW MAKE A LOAN MOVE FOR £200,000-A-WEEK PLAYER
David Moyes’s West Ham United could reportedly make a loan bid for Manchester United central defender Harry Maguire.
According to 90min, West Ham United are interested in signing Harry Maguire from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that West Ham could try to sign Maguire on a loan deal this week.
Although West Ham have agreed a £30 million deal with Manchester United and have also agreed personal terms with Maguire over a move to London Stadium, the England international central defender is not willing to leave the Red Devils unless he gets a payoff.
That’s because the £200,000-a-week (SalarySport) star will be on less money at West Ham.
The Hammers are really keen on Maguire and could now try to do a loan deal with Manchester United, according to 90min.
Harry Maguire to West Ham United on loan from Manchester United could work
In our view, a loan deal between West Ham United and Manchester United over Harry Maguire could work for all three parties concerned.
Manchester United would get Maguire off their wage bill.
Head coach Erik ten Hag does not think that the defender is good enough to play week in and week out for his team, so he would not miss him at all.
West Ham would not have to pay a transfer fee, which means that they could just pay his salary in full and save money overall.
And Maguire could get to play regular first-team football in the Premier League this season.
It would be a win-win situation for everyone involved.
