Harry Toffolo has been provisionally barred from playing football due to his involvement in betting activities.
Former Norwich City left-back Harry Toffolo has been handed a suspended five-month ban from football for breaching betting rules in his time at Carrow Road.
The Football Association has provisionally suspended the ban imposed on Toffolo, meaning he will be able to play and train for Nottingham Forest, with whom he joined in the summer of 2022. The FA has stated that an explanation of their decision will be made available in the near future. Toffolo, who joined the club from Norwich in the summer of 2018, was found guilty of breaching FA rules which prohibit players from placing bets on behalf of a club or sharing information that can be used for betting, for a period of 375 times between January 2014 and March 2017. He was also fined a sum of £20,956 by the FA. Toffolo’s career at Norwich began in 2013, when he helped the under-18s win the FA Youth Cup, but he left the club without making a single league appearance in 2018.

He then spent time at Millwall, before joining the Terriers from Lincoln City. He’s only appeared once for Forest so far this season, as a substitute in a Carabao Cup defeat to Burnley.
