Sad News: Georgia Football Recruiting Prospect Decommits from Bulldogs

Georgia has parted ways with a running back prospect.

Georgia assistant coach Dell McGee is hoping to land an elite duo at running back in the 2025 cycle, and he will now look to pair Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove tailback Bo Walker with another ball carrier as Philadelphia Imhotep Institute 2025 running back Jabree Wallace-Coleman announced his de-commitment from the Dawgs on Sunday evening.

“I will be de-committing and opening my recruitment back up,” Wallace-Coleman said, via his persona X.com account.

Wallace-Coleman is ranked as the No. 29 overall running back in the country and the No. 11 overall prospect in Pennsylvania on 247Sports. Wallace-Coleman originally committed to Georgia in April over Penn State, Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and 12 other offers. Wallace-Coleman had 208 carries for 1,585 yards and 28 touchdowns as a junior, with eight catches for 208 yards and two touchdowns. He had 187 carries for 1,040 yards and 11 touchdowns as a sophomore, with 16 catches for 216 yards and two touchdowns. BREAKING: Georgia Bulldogs four-star wide receiver set to enter transfer portal

The Georgia Bulldogs will reportedly watch another player enter the transfer portal.

Georgia Bulldogs lose Brock Vandagriff to the transfer portal

Per reports, Zeed Haynes has entered the portal following his freshman season in Athens.

Haynes was originally a four-star recruit out of North Penn High School in Fort Washington, PA. Per the 247Sports Composite ranking, Haynes was the No. 2 prospect out of Pennsylvania in the 2023 class, and the No. 27 wide receiver in the country.

The receiver originally committed to Rutgers before decommitting and switching to Penn State. However, Haynes would soon decommit from Penn State and sign on with the Georgia Bulldogs. The receiver only saw action in 4 games as a freshman and caught 1 pass for 20 yards.

Change is coming at the receiver position in Athens

Haynes becomes the third Georgia WR to enter the portal this offseason. Mekhi Mews and Jackson Meeks have also thrown their names into the portal thus far. Considering Haynes is from Pennsylvania and was at one time committed to Penn State, it would not be surprising to see the talented receiver head back north.

With three receivers in the portal and Ladd McConkey a popular name in mock drafts, the Bulldogs could have several new faces at the receiver position in 2024.

The Georgia Bulldogs missed out on the College Football Playoff this season for the first time since 2021. With the Bulldogs not competing for a National Championship, many players are getting a head start on jumping in the portal.
