Veteran Pitcher Leaves LA, Huge Bobby Miller Update, Fire at Dodger Stadium Lot
An evening of baseball at Dodger Stadium began with a surprising fire outbreak in the parking lot, and ended with a loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Pitcher Bobby Miller’s rehab inched closer to the finish line, and a veteran pitcher whom the Dodgers designated for assignment elected free agency.
A car in the Dodger Stadium parking lot caught on fire ahead of Tuesday’s Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks game.
Here are videos of the incident from Tuesday night:
Here’s a comment from user Yomommasan on Reddit (who appears to be at the game).
“Response time was pretty solid. We were bugging out in the stadium because we saw the smoke from around the seats. Also (stadium organist) Dieter (Ruhle) was playing We Didn’t Start The Fire. Love that guy.”
The rapid response from emergency personnel apparently contained the fire to a single car, which was within eyesight of thousands of fans both in the parking lot and in the stadium.
As a result, photos and videos of a relatively brief car fire made the rounds on social media for an evening.
The car was far from Dodger Stadium, so no structures were in danger during the fire.
Hopefully, everyone was OK. Dodgers Nation will provide updates when we know more.
