Burnley on verge of new transfer – Player has ‘signed’ 3-year deal, official announcement ‘soon’
Earlier on on Monday, it was claimed that Hannes Delcroix was very close to signing for Burnley from RSC Anderlecht after passing his medical.
Well, journalist Sacha Tavolieri has now brought an update on Twitter about the situation, and reveals the deal is now done and dusted.
That’s because Delcroix has now ‘signed’ his three-year contract with Burnley, which will make him available for the Clarets’ next game.
The 24-year-old’s transfer is now expected to be made official ‘soon’, and the Belgium international, born in Haiti, will become the club’s latest signing.
Following their promotion from the Championship last season under Vincent Kompany, Burnley have added numerous players to their squad from all around the globe.
Delcroix will be their 12th arrival of the summer, after signing Jacob Bruun Larsen on loan, Lawrence Vigouroux and Nathan Redmond on a free, and combining €91.6m of purchases for Luca Koleosho, Michael Obafemi, Dara O’Shea, Wilson Odobert, Sander Berge, Jordan Beyer, James Trafford and Zeki Amdouni.

Hull City boss addresses hostile reception of Burnley’s Scott Twine from rival Blackburn Rovers fans
The Burnley man was thrown straight in for his first Hull start at Ewood Park on Saturday after sealing a season-long loan move.
Despite receiving a hostile reception from the Blackburn fans, the 24-year-old performed well as Rosenior’s side recorded a 2-1 win.
“I was here on the day Burnley became champions and I know it’s a big rivalry here between the clubs and Scott dealt with it really well,” Rosenior told the Hull Daily Mail.
“Great bit of skill for his own chance where he nutmegs the lad and the goalkeeper makes a great save. He probably made four world-class saves.
“Overall, I’m delighted he’s here. He’s chosen us over a lot of very good clubs in this league because he believes in the way that we play.
“I just felt with his quality on the pitch and his set-play delivery, his ability to score from free-kicks [would be valuable from the start].
“It was so interesting, he had two free-kicks and everyone on our bench was expecting a goal, that’s the quality that he brings. He’s only going to get better.
“He was shattered at the end, but he’s only going to get better and better for us but for a debut, I couldn’t be happier with him.”
There’s already been talk among Hull fans of turning Twine’s loan move permanent at the end of the season, but Rosenior says that’s a conversation to have later down the line.
“Let’s just enjoy having him first,” he added.
“He’s been in for three hours. In order for us to compete, we want to have the best players.
“Every club in the Championship’s after the same players, so we have to have a unique selling point in the way that we work, the way that we play.
“With Scott, we’ll visit that further down the line, but I’m just delighted that he’s here for the season.
“HIs signing shows that we are ambitious, from Acun to Tan to myself, we really feel we can be successful this season. We’ve worked really hard to identify the right players that fit our philosophy and style of play.”
