Luton want Hayden
Luton Town have emerged as contenders to sign Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden. The former Arsenal man is set to leave the club this summer and there have been no shortage of clubs interested in his signature. Middlesbrough have been linked with the 28-year-old who had a spell on loan with Norwich City last term.
But as reported in our NUFC Notebook newly-promoted Luton could be set to make a move. Manager Rob Edwards is looking to strengthen his midfielder options, with Hayden providing plenty of Premier League experience.
Hayden signed for Newcastle in 2017 following relegation to the Championship and has made 171 appearances for United
Cameron Ferguson has joined Scottish League Two side Forfar Athletic on a six-month loan deal.
The 20-year-old striker, son of former Magpies forward Duncan, will link up with the Loons until January 2024 and will be targeting a senior debut whilst at the Scottish fourth tier outfit, who finished fifth last term.
Joining the Magpies’ Academy from Tranmere Rovers in the summer of 2021, the Liverpool-born forward has featured for United’s under-21 side on a number of occasions, appearing in the young Magpies’ 2022/23 Papa John’s Trophy campaign.

Chelsea are finally close to announcing a new shirt sponsorship deal worth around £40million per year, according to reports. The Blues have started the Premier League campaign with plain shirts after failing to find a new sponsor, with Three’s deal having expired at the end of last season.
However, it pales in comparison to Manchester United’s deal with software firm Teamviewer and Liverpool’s agreement with banking giant Standard Chartered. Both clubs are said to receive close to £50m per season, while Manchester City’s deal with Etihad is thought to be worth upwards of £67m each year.
