The Seasiders are still in the market and they are looking to bring more players in before the transfer window closes.

The League One outfit are currently looking to bolster their forward options and they have shortlisted candidates for that purpose.

It has been claimed that Seasiders boss Neil Critchley is a big fan of Charlton man Kirk and is willing to sign him.

The Winsford-born man came through the academy of Crewe Alexandra before he joined the Addicks back in the summer of 2021.

He joined Blackpool on a loan deal in January 2022 with an option to buy at the end of it, however, a permanent move did not materialise.

Charlton Athletic’s Transfer Strategy Still On Course Despite Dean Holden Exit

Charlton Athletic announce ex-Bolton and Oldham defender Dean Holden as new first team manager to replace Ben Garner as Addicks appoint fourth manager in under two years | talkSPORT

Dean Holden’s departure is not likely to affect Charlton Athletic’s transfer strategy, as the Addicks are still expecting outgoings and incomings in the ongoing window, according to the South London Press.

Charlton decided to part ways with Holden on Sunday night after a disappointing start to the ongoing campaign.

With the transfer window nearing its end, it remains to be seen whether the Addicks will be able to appoint Holden’s successor before 1st September.

However, it has been claimed that Holden’s departure will not affect Charlton’s transfer activity.

And it is suggested that Charlton are expecting some incomings before the end of the window in the form of loans and permanent deals.

The Addicks could also sanction the departures of Jack Payne, Charlie Kirk and Conor McGrandles.

After a difficult first season with Charlton, Payne has fallen down the pecking order and is in the final year of his contract.

Kirk is also said to be attracting interest from League One outfits and Charlton are linked with several players in the transfer window.
