Leeds United transfer news as Crystal Palace open Luis Sinisterra talks
Crystal Palace have opened talks to sign Leeds United attacker Luis Sinisterra this summer, according to an exclusive report by the Palace Way.
The news outlet reporting on all news in and around Selhurst Park claimed on Monday (28 August) that the move discussed was an initial loan with the option to buy.
The London side are expected to be busy in the final days of the window but want to get the deal for the 24-year-old Leeds attacker over the line.
Surely not
Leeds cannot just let Sinisterra leave on loan with three days left for the window and not get a decent transfer fee.
Had he left perhaps two or three weeks ago, they could’ve planned for his replacement and the fact that he was reintegrated into the squad, suggests that he’s likelier to stay.
The Whites must not accept this deal unless the Colombian hands in a transfer request and Palace are willing to pay at least what Leeds did to bring him to Elland Road in the first place.
He signed for Leeds for £21million last summer and while he had an injury-ravaged season, he still showed his worth to the fans and the managers at the club.
Anything less than that seems unlikely and a loan with an option and not even an obligation to buy only benefits Palace.
While they are a Premier League side, Leeds cannot be bullied into this deal just because they got relegated last season.

Arsenal Are Still Showing Interest In This Crystal Palace Ace: What Will He Bring To North London?
In a recent interview with Give Me Sport, transfer insider Dean Jones mentioned that Arsenal are still showing interest in Crystal Palace ace Marc Guehi this summer. Jones said,
“The Marc Guehi interest has been there for a while. I don’t know that it necessarily would combine well with any interest from Takehiro Tomiyasu from Palace because Palace have no intention to lose Guehi and value him very, very highly.
“Earlier in the window I was being told of a £60m valuation on him and to be honest at this stage of the window it has probably risen. Guehi himself would even have reservations about how he fits in with Gabriel, William Saliba, Ben White and Jurrien Timber over the course of the season because he definitely needs regular game time to get into the England squad and won’t want to be fighting for his spot on a weekly basis, even at a big club like that.”
