Brighton makes an offer to Arsenal for midfielder
Brighton is the latest club to show a late interest in Emile Smith Rowe, as it seems obvious the midfielder is a wanted man.
Since last season, he has not had enough playing time for the Gunners and is finding it difficult to compete.
This window’s additions by Arsenal to their midfield have made it more difficult for Smith Rowe to see action.
Numerous clubs are interested in adding the midfielder to their rosters during this transfer window since he is highly sought after.
Although Brighton is the newest team to make a bid for him, Football-Talk reports that Arsenal is content to keep him despite the increasing number of suitors.
According to the source, Roberto de Zerbi’s squad has already made a last-minute offer to the Emirates in an effort to sign him.
Just Arsenal Opinion
Smith Rowe needs to play in games, thus rather than keeping him on the bench, we should definitely sell him immediately for a profit.
The Englishman is a good player, but he has missed so many games due to uneven fitness. This season, he needs to demonstrate his class, but if he stays at the Emirates, he won’t be able to do so.

Barcelona names the fee they want to sell Ansu Fati permanently this summer
Sky Sports reported that Barcelona were willing to sell Ansu Fati permanently for £30m this summer before agreeing to send him on loan to Brighton.
Fabrizio Romano has given his ‘here we go’ seal of approval to Fati’s Brighton loan, with the youngster flying to England today.
There were rumours that Spurs were not totally out of the race this morning, despite other claims, but that idea has not gained any traction throughout the day (SkySports).
Spurs are fully focused on Brennan Johnson now
Sky Sports point out that Fati was one of three wide-forwards on Tottenham’s radar along with Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson and PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko. However, it now appears that Fati is joining Brighton and Bakayoko is going to Brentford.
The outlet said that Johnson remained the Lilywhites’ top target but they would have to pay in excess of £40m to prise him away from the City Ground. It remains to be seen whether Daniel Levy and co will get the deal done in time.
Spurs Web Opinion
I suspect that one of the reasons Tottenham opened talks with Barca regarding Fati is to put pressure on Forest to reduce their asking price for Johnson. I fully expect Spurs to get a deal for the Wales international over the line before the window slams shut.
