Norwich City joins Cardiff and Sheffield United in striker race
Norwich City are said to have turned their attention to Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore
According to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, AFC Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore is in the sights of Norwich City on transfer deadline day.
A striker appeared to be on David Wagner’s shopping list a day after the injury of Josh Sargent, who had started the season well but suffered an ankle ligament problem against Huddersfield Town in a 4 win.
0 on Saturday.
Josh Sargent is injured
David Wagner pointed out earlier this week that Sargent has to wait months instead of weeks, but they are waiting for confirmation on the full extent of his problem.
Wagner declined to rule out signing a replacement, but said he is satisfied with his current options.
He told Pink’Un:
“After today’s performance, we see that we have a good team.
We have a reliable lineup even if the roster isn’t large in terms of numbers.
“We could be very young or inexperienced today if you will.
In the end you know what it is.
The transfer window is open and as long as it’s open I don’t like anything rejected but I think we have a good team together.

Need a striker of Norwich City
Reports suggest Wagner is looking to replace Sargent by the deadline day.
The canaries are closely linked to Everton’s Tom Cannon and are believed to have made an offer but are set to lose to Leicester City.
They have now turned their attention elsewhere as Crook reports that Moore has become a potential target as tonight’s deadline draws closer.
Pink’Un’s Conor Southwell have reported that the Norfolk club are hoping to secure a striker’s loan deal ahead of time, but face reported competition from Cardiff City and Sheffield United.
Is Kieffer Moore a good signing for Norwich City?
With Ashley Barnes, Adam Idah and Przemysław Płacheta, Wagner has options on his mind despite Sargent’s injury, but with Norwich looking to battle for promotion to the Premier League and have a strong start to the season, it’s not surprising that they’ll be back in the Premier League.
That certainly means something to them.
.
to recruit another striker.
Idah has yet to prove himself to be an excellent goalscorer, Barnes has thrived in a slightly deeper role and Płacheta is not an official number nine.
Meanwhile, Moore is a proven value at Championship level – having hit the 20-goal mark with Cardiff in 2020/21 and scoring 61 goals in 155 second-division appearances – and will improve the team of the Canaries.
He has all the qualities needed to lead the Wagner line and thrives in doing so.
He is more than just a target and this could be a great signing.
What is Bournemouth’s view of Kieffer Moore?
It is not certain that Moore will leave Cherry.
Crook said a replacement may be needed before he leaves while Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola thinks the Welshman is still in his plans.
Asked if he expected Moore to leave, he told BBC Sport:
“Are not.
Right now we have three attacking players, along with the pick of Justin [Kluivert].
“We are happy with Dom [Solanke], with Keiffer [Moore], with Antoine [Semenyo].
I think we have different options.
“Yes [I wish Kieffer would stay at the club].
Currently, that is the situation.
You can never guarantee any player because sometimes the circumstances change from hour to hour.
