CRYSTAL PALACE PUSHING TO SIGN PSG’S HUGO EKITIKE
Crystal Palace FC have resumed talks with Paris Saint-Germain in the past hours to sign out-of-favour striker Hugo Ekitiké (21), according to a report this Friday from L’Équipe.
The 21-year-old centre-forward has rejected up to three contract offers from Eintracht Frankfurt. The Bundesliga side considered Ekitike as a replacement for the departing Randal Kolo Muani, who is expected to sign for Les Parisiens after both clubs found a €90m agreement. However, Kolo Muani’s pending deal to PSG depends on Frankfurt being able to sign a replacement for the French international before the summer transfer window shuts in Germany.
However, Ekitiké reportedly favours a transfer to a Premier League side. West Ham seemed to be the English club leading the race to the former Stade de Reims forward, but a move to Crystal Palace cannot be ruled out now. Le Parisien go as far as saying that the Eagles have submitted a loan offer including a €30m mandatory purchase option to PSG for Ekitike.
Palace make move to sign 24-year-old Leeds United speedster
There are only a few hours left of the summer transfer window but there could still be enough time for Crystal Palace to bring in one highly-rated Leeds United star.
