Crystal Palace To Put Target Through Medical

Arsenal defender Rob Holding is set to undergo a medical ahead of sealing a permanent move to Crystal Palace today, according to The Athletic.

Roy Hodgson confirmed Palace’s interest in signing the centre-back during his pre-match conference and the deal is moving along as expected.

The Eagles have been in talks with Arsenal over agreeing a deal to take the centre-back to Selhurst Park on deadline day.

Holding is one of the players Arsenal have been keen to move on the final day of the ongoing transfer window.

It has been claimed that the centre-back will undergo a medical shortly ahead of sealing a move to the south London club.

The two clubs have an agreement in place for Holding, and the transfer is now subject to Holding passing his physical.

Prior to the deal, personal terms had been agreed upon between Palace and the defender’s representation.

After all the necessary paperwork is completed by the end of the day, Holding will sign a three-year contract.

This is according to Get French Football News, which indicates that Ekitike has rejected Die Adler’s third bid. In their efforts to replace Kolo Muani, the Deutsche Bank Park team has offered numerous contracts to the striker. But Ekitike is just interested in moving to the Premier League.

Brentford, Crystal Palace, and West Ham are all interested in bringing Ekitike to the Premier League before the deadline. According to The Sun, the three London rivals are competing to take advantage of Luis Enrique notifying the attacker that he is not in PSG’s plans.

Selhurst Park officials are also working hard to gain his signature. According to Marc Mechenoua of Le Parisien, Crystal Palace has submitted a bid to Paris Saint-Germain for Ekitike. The Eagles have offered an initial loan arrangement with a €30 million (£25.5 million) buyout option in 2024.

Paris Saint-Germain paid Stade de Reims €28.5m (£24.5m) for Ekitike in July after signing him on loan last July. Their move for the forward features a further €6.5m (£5.5m) in add-ons. While the Reims native also agreed a contract at the Parc des Princes to June 2027.
