Norwich City: Andrew Omobamidele pens touching farewell massage to Norwich city

Omobamidele’s last appearance for the club was in the Carabao Cup against Bristol City, and he was seen to spend some time in the stands thanking and shaking hands with Norwich supporters. The 26-year-old has thanked supporters, staff and club for helping him progress through the academy to the first team.

The 21-year-old has now realised a more considered statement via his own social channels.

“I want to say a big thank you for everything the club has given me during my time at Norwich,” Omobamidele wrote.

“Thank you to all the staff at the club who’ve supported me since my first day at the academy. You challenged me and helped me grow to become the player I am today. It’s a special feeling for any player to go from the academy to the first team and I couldn’t have done it without you all.

“To the fans, although we didn’t get to properly say goodbye, I will always appreciate the love you showed me. Norwich is a special club and I always understood it was a privilege to wear these colours.
