Al-Ittihad was removed from Jota’s bio due to ongoing uncertainty.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti, former Celtic winger Jota has gently indicated his displeasure with Al-Ittihad through a social media change, eliminating any association with the club from his Instagram bio amid his ongoing predicament in Saudi Arabia.
Just months after his historic signing from Parkhead, the £25 million winger is left out of Nuno Esprrito Santo’s lineup.
Jota, who is thought to be under contract for a hefty £10 million a year, is currently facing a period of inactivity because he was passed over for one of the eight foreign player spots in the 2023–24 Saudi Pro League season.
This has increased rumors that his contract with the Saudi champions may be terminated, giving him the opportunity to relaunch his career at a another club.
Jota, a proud Hoops Treble winner, is expected to stay with Ittihad through the upcoming January transfer window, after which he may look into new chances, whether through a loan or a permanent transfer.

Chris Sutton predicts Celtic will have to start planning for a replacement for the ‘invaluable’ £1 million player soon.
According to Chris Sutton, Celtic must consider finding a solution to a goalkeeping problem that is gradually catching up to them.
Joe Hart has been in excellent form for Celtic thus far this year. He has made some significant stops at home that have kept them at the top of the league.
Despite the controversy over who was at blame for Feyenoord’s first goal in the 2-0 Champions League loss over two weeks ago, he has been significant in Europe.
Sutton claims that Celtic must make a choice soon over Hart.
The former Celtic hero is often known for speaking out on matters involving his old team, and Hart is no exception.
Sutton hasn’t in any way disparaged the current goalie. The outspoken analyst was actually fairly positive of Hart, but he was pragmatic enough to acknowledge that Brendan Rodgers needs to deal with the issue as quickly as possible.
Sutton stated, “The experience and talent of someone like Hart will be invaluable,” in his Daily Record column.
“Over time, it’s a position,
He will take care of things because he is not getting any younger.
However, in my opinion, Rodgers shouldn’t be worrying about it right now.
In my perspective, Joe Hart still has a lot to give Celtic.
For weeks, I’ve been vociferously supporting the Celtic keeper on TBR Celtic. Beyond his contributions on the field, Hart offers the team a lot more.
I had argued at the beginning of September that Celtic supporters shouldn’t dismiss Hart just yet, and up until this point, I have been proven right.
He is the boss in the changing room. He encourages the team and has been crucial in organizing a defense that has been decimated by injuries.
In fact, Sutton said that Hart’s performance in the 1-0 victory over the Ibrox team in the Glasgow Derby answered his criticisms. And to think, Celtic just paid £1 million for the seasoned goalie two seasons ago. Unbeatable value.
Celtic reportedly tried to replace him in the summer but evidently was unsuccessful in doing so.
Hart’s performance has supported that, but there is no disputing that Brendan Rodgers will need to address the issue of Hart’s waning contract because Celtic’s present backup options are simply insufficient.
