Ipswich Town TOWN SIGN KYLE EDWARDS

According to Oxford United manager Liam Manning, on-loan Blues forward Kyle Edwards will be out for “a little while” after suffering a hamstring injury in training.

Edwards, 25, has been with the U’s for the season and has had a good start, scoring two goals in his first four games, but he was missing from yesterday’s 3-1 win against Stevenage, which former Town left-back Greg Leigh scored twice.

“We’re still waiting on results, it’s going to be a little while to be honest,” Edwards told the Witney Gazette.

“He felt it at the end of training on Thursday, which is a real shame because he came in and hit the ground running, and he’s someone we really like.”

“We’re waiting on the results and we’ll see where we’re at to know exactly what’s going on.”

Corrie Ndaba, a Blues defender, has returned to duty after missing a month due to an ankle injury.

The 23-year-old Irishman came in as a 76th-minute substitute in Kilmarnock’s 2-1 loss at home to Hearts on Tuesday, then returned to the starting XI for yesterday’s 1-1 draw with St Mirren at Rugby Park, playing the whole 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn Kabongolo, a former academy central defender who was released by the Blues in the summer, has joined the club.

Premier League Club Keeping an Eye on Ipswich Town Manager.

Crystal Palace are keeping an eye on Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

McKenna led Ipswich to promotion from League One last season, and his team has made an immediate impact in the Championship.

His efforts at Portman Road have not gone unnoticed, and McKenna is now attracting Premier League interest.

Ipswich would be unlikely to welcome a bid for a manager who has done wonders for the club since taking charge.

McKenna’s men are second in the Championship standings, having scored 18 goals in just nine league games.

All eyes will be on if Crystal Palace, who are also interested in other managers, will approach McKenna in the future.
