The quarterback has been struggling to get the offense going in the right direction which has led analysts and insiders to believe that it is a real possibility for Garoppolo to be dealt to another team. One of the top suitors for the Raiders quarterback is the New England Patriots, who previously had Garoppolo years ago as the backup to Tom Brady. The Patriots have been struggling offensively, especially when it comes to the quarterback position. The current starter Mac Jones has been historically bad which has caused talks of New England investing in a new quarterback.

Bill Belichick had some high praise for Garoppolo which has built up to their matchup this Sunday. Belichick said, “I mean he only played in a game and a half here, not very much. But we saw Jimmy every day. We saw the talent and the ability to be a starting quarterback. That’s what he was drafted for and that’s what he is. He’s had a good career. Happy for him.”

Las Vegas receiver Jakobi Meyers led the squad with 75 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown on seven receptions. Linebacker Robert Spillane and cornerback Amik Robertson picked off a combined three passes. Defensive end Maxx Crosby recorded five tackles, one sack, one quarterback hit and four tackles for loss.

Jacobs has rushed for 60 or more in two of his five games this season. The Patriots have allowed 540 rushing yards in five games, putting them in 15th place in the NFL.
