Trade Whispers – Las Vegas Raiders Looking To Trade “Struggling” Star Before Deadline
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has been mentioned as a trade candidate this season. The quarterback has been struggling to get the offense going in the right direction which has led analysts and insiders to believe that it is a real possibility for Garoppolo to be dealt to another team. This news comes from NFL Rumors via Twitter.
Reunited In New England?
One of the top suitors for the Raiders quarterback is the New England Patriots, who previously had Garoppolo years ago as the backup to Tom Brady. The Patriots have been struggling offensively, especially when it comes to the quarterback position. The current starter Mac Jones has been historically bad which has caused talks of New England investing in a new quarterback.
Jimmy Garoppolo’s Career
Even though the legendary coach gave Garoppolo his praise, the Raiders quarterback has been struggling this season. He has only amounted to 917 passing yards and six touchdowns. He has thrown for seven interceptions which has been the main downfall for Las Vegas in 2023.
Since entering the league in 2014, he has gone for 15,206 passing yards and 93 touchdowns. After leaving New England, he became the starter for the San Francisco 49ers from 2017-2021 before joining the Raiders. We will see if he has a big turnaround in Las Vegas, and if not, do not be surprised if he and Belichick have a reunion.

“It’s a good football team over there that’s well coached, they have a lot of good players and I really give our guys a lot of credit for hanging in there and just grinding it out,” Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels said, via Raiders Today. “It was that kind of game for the whole entire four quarters.
“Nothing was easy. And I thought that our punter punted really well tonight and changed field positions and that kind of eventually made a difference.”
