What did Dan Campbell Say?
On Saturday, Campbell spoke to the media and he started with a one-word answer.
“Maybe,” Campbell said.
He then continued. “Ask Brad.”
“There’ll be some things that could come up,” he said. “Now, Brad’s been grinding. I mean, he hasn’t stopped on that, so that’ll continue, that’ll go all the way up to game time, beyond, but that won’t affect me or us or anything we do. We’re business as usual.”
Why it Matters

The pressure mounts as the Lions prepare for a Monday night game just hours before the trade deadline expires at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Lions could tweak lineup yet again as injuries gut interior O-line
ALLEN PARK — After years of injuries, the Detroit Lions were thrilled to see what their vaunted offensive line would look like at full strength.
Instead, they seem on the verge of rolling out a seventh starting combination in eight weeks.
Center Frank Ragnow missed the entire practice week while nursing calf/toe injuries, and his status remains unknown for the matchup against Las Vegas on Monday Night Football.
“Hard to say (whether he’ll play,” head coach Dan Campbell said. “Here’s the good news, is we have three days because it’s a night game on Monday. We got all of today, all of tomorrow, and we’ve got most of Monday. So that’s a long time to recover. It’s really kind of day-to-day. We’ll see where he’s at today.”
Ragnow is a warrior who once played through a fractured throat, and has continued to play at a high level despite an inoperable toe injury that requires regular rest. Ragnow hasn’t put in a full day of work all season. yet remains the No. 3 center in the league according to ProFootballFocus.
But Ragnow hasn’t stepped foot on the practice field all week while dealing with a new calf injury. If he can’t go, Graham Glasgow is expected to slide over to center, a position he played last season in Denver and in previous seasons for Detroit.
That versatility was a big draw for the Lions in free agency, and they’ve leaned on it heavily in the first half of the season. Since opening the campaign on the bench, Glasgow has played at a top-five level while filling in for Halapoulivaati Vaitai at right guard, then swung over to left guard last week and made the start for Jonah Jackson. He ranked as Detroit’s third-best offensive player in Baltimore, per PFF, and did not allow a sack.
On Monday night, Glasgow could start at a third position in as many weeks.
That would create a void at guard though, where Jackson is expected to miss a third straight game and Vaitai has been limited by a back injury this week. Kayode Awosika, Dan Skipper and rookie Colby Sorsdal are the top options if things come to that.
“That’s one of the reasons Graham is here, man, is his reliability, the fact he’s played multiple positions,” Campbell said. “He played plenty of center last year, so a lot of confidence there. We got Kayode, we got Sorsdal, we got Skip, we got all kinds of options.”
