Welcome to Week 12. Ole Miss and the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks are set to battle in just a couple of hours. It is senior day for the Rebels as they put a close on their home season. As Inside the Rebels has done for the majority of the 2023 season, we’d like to provide an injury update on today’s game?
I’ll give you the bad news first. Ole Miss has sustained two injuries that could potentially be season ending (including bowl game). The good news is that this is our thinnest injury report of the entire year.
LIVE UPDATES: No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels Host ULM Warhawks In Final Home Game of 2023
The No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels are set to host the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks on Saturday morning in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium for their final home game of the 2023-24 season. A win over ULM would give the Rebels an undefeated record at home this season, and a 21-2 overall record in their last 23 home games. The last time Ole Miss and ULM met was in 2018 and the Rebels crushed the Warhawks 70-21 in Oxford. Quarterback Jordan Ta’amu led the Rebels in passing and freshman Matt Corral led Ole Miss on the ground with 78 rushing yards and one touchdown on just six carries. The Rebels set the school record for total offense with 826. This should be a bounceback game for Ole Miss after the Rebels lost terribly to the Georgia Bulldogs a week ago. ULM has had a rough season, as the Warhawks have an overall record of 2-8 and are winless in the Sun Belt Conference.
Ole Miss will be honoring its senior class on Saturday, recognizing linebacker Ashanti Cistrunk, who has played in 58 consecutive games, and offensive lineman Jeremy James, who has 46 starts under his belt. The Rebels and Warhawks are scheduled to kick off at 11:00 a.m. CT, and the game will be televised on SEC Network. Pregame In honor of their military appreciation game, the Rebels will be donning their classic navy helmets, red jerseys, and gray pants, but the Ole Miss script has an American flag background. Q1(11:49): Ole Miss settles for a 50-yard field goal on its opening drive, and it is no good. Q1(8:36): The Rebels turn the ball over on downs on their second offensive drive and the Warhawks will take over at the 27-yard line. Q1(8:08): The Warhawks go three and out on offense again and are forced to punt. Ole Miss will start its drive at its 40-yard line.
Q1(4:26): Ulysses Bentley scores first for the Rebels on a 14-yard rushing touchdown. Ole Miss 7, ULM 0 Q1(1:50): ULM is forced to punt after a big TFL from Ladarius Tennison, and the Rebels will take over at the 31-yard line. End of First Quarter — Ole Miss 7, ULM 0
