Texas Longhorns WR Isaiah Neyor Entering Transfer Portal
Neyor was a top-ten player in last year’s transfer portal but couldn’t get on the field in Texas. Last season, he was coming off an 878 yards and 12 touchdowns season at Wyoming making him one of the more promising targets. In 2023, he only had one catch for 14 yards. The glut of talent that the Longhorns have at their disposal made it so Neyor didn’t see the field much. He will now try to find another opportunity in this year’s portal.
Concern For Texas?
As of the writing of this article, Neyor is the seventh Longhorn to enter the portal. While this may be concerning to some, I don’t think that Texas is too concerned. Most of the players are ones who did not see the field in 2023. Furthermore, Texas should be very active in getting talent from the portal helping them replenish the talent. There haven’t been any huge pieces to transfer which makes sense as the team has some big games coming up.
Can the Texas Longhorns continue this success in 2024? The move to the SEC will be difficult but the team seems to be trending in a positive direction.
