As the Cleveland Browns hold a 28-14 lead in the fourth quarter, injuries continue to be a big story. While the Jacksonville Jaguars were driving down the field, safety Grant Delpit and DE Myles Garrett converged on QB Trevor Lawrence.

Delpit’s head/shoulder area collided with Garrett’s legs. The safety stayed down on the field holding his head following the play and was helped into the blue medical tent. He was taken into the locker room on the medical cart.

Delpit was the latest injury during the game for Cleveland, all questionable to return at the time of the injury unless noted:

  • Ethan Pocic went down early in the game with a stinger.
  • CB Cam Mitchell, who returned from injured reserve this week, went down in the endzone with cramps
  • DT Jordan Elliott is out for the rest of the game with a concussion
  • DT Maurice Hurst has a pectoral injury
  • DE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo left the game three times with a variety of injuries

Shortly after the Delpit injury, the Jaguars scored to pull within seven points.

Update:

The Browns announced that Delpit hurt his groin on the play, not a head or neck injury.
