I am worth to be traded: Alabama key man announce his departure

Alabama Loses Class of 2025 Defensive Line Prospect to Auburn Tigers

Merry Flipmas: Auburn gets elite in-state DL Antonio Coleman flipped from Alabama

The Saraland Spartan announced he was flipping his commitment from the Crimson Tide to the Tigers.

The Auburn Tigers have been building momentum on the recruiting trail since hiring Hugh Freeze last year. The Tigers just reeled in the No. 7 Class of 2024 with two 5-star prospects, but the good news doesn’t stop there for Auburn.

Class of 2025 defensive lineman Antonio Coleman told On3 Sports that he was flipping his commitment from the Alabama Crimson Tide to the Auburn Tigers.

Coleman, a 4-star prospect on the 6A state runner-up Saraland Spartan had committed to Alabama in September but decided to flip to the rival-Tigers on Friday.

He stands at 6-foot-2, 285-pounds and is considered the No. 13 overall defensive lineman and the No. 10 player in the state of Alabama in the Class of 2025.

His departure leaves Alabama with seven commits in the next class but still has the No. 2 class in the early stages of the next cycle. Coincidentally the Auburn Tigers are right on the Tide’s heels in the next cycle, boasting the No. 3 class with eight commits in the class.

Antonio Coleman, 2025 Defensive Tackle, Auburn

One small aspect to consider with Coleman’s flip is his Saraland teammate Ryan Williams. Williams is Coleman’s classmate and currently committed to the Crimson Tide and scheduled to sign with Alabama in February. Could the defensive lineman influence the wide receiver into changing his mind and heading to The Plains.

There’s still 12 months until the Class of 2025 signs papers, but this recruiting rivalry will be one to watch as the Tide and Tigers try their best to lure the in-state product.
