On the Georgia visit: “Today was a great visit for me because it’s been since in-season since I had been back. I felt welcomed and very blessed to be back in Athens. The main thing that catches my eye with Georgia is the player development on and off the field.”

On his favorite part of the trip: “My favorite part of the visit was being able to sit down with the coaches and communicate and talk about all the players they’ve produced.”

The University of Georgia has been home to some historic names in college football over the past 20 years. Names such as Matthew Stafford, Nick Chubb, AJ Green, Todd Gurley, and numerous others have been at the forefront of college football and have won a plethora of accolades over the years. However, despite the revolving door of elite talent. It has been nearly 40 years since Georgia has had a Heisman Trophy winner. But Carson Beck has an excellent shot at being the player to break that streak for the Bulldogs. The quarterback, who threw for nearly 4,000 yards in 2023 recently announced that the would be forgoing the NFL Draft and returning to Georgia for the 2024 season.

Beck’s success during the 2023 season and more than four years of experience at the collegiate level have caused him to be one of the odds-on favorites to win next year’s Heisman Trophy. According to Action Network, Beck currently has +750 odds to be next season’s recipient. Which is tied with fellow SEC quarterbacks Jalen Milroe and Quinn Ewers, two players whom he will face during the 2024 regular season. Beck and the Bulldogs will begin their 2024 season on Aug. 31st when they take on the Clemson Tigers. It will be the teams’ first meeting since the Bulldogs 10-3 victory to open the 2021 Season.
