Ladd McConkey Voted as Top WR for Senior Bowl American Team

One of the best times of the offseason is when seniors are able to travel to Mobile, AL., and compete in the annual Senior Bowl. This year, Georgia had a plethora of players involved in this game. Tykee Smith, Javon Bullard, Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, Ladd McConkey, Daijun Edwards, and William Mote were all invited to the game. All of these players were put on the American Team roster and immediately began making waves from day one of practice. With that portion of the week officially over, McConkey has been named as the top WR from this week’s practice.

He was easily one of the biggest names coming from practice this week, showing off his exceptional route-running capabilities on day one of practice and then pulling off the one-handed catches during day three’s practice. McConkey helped his draft stock tremendously this week alongside his “Ro-Jack.” These two were not the only Bulldogs to help themselves out during practice this week. Bullard was also voted as the top deep safety for the American Team this week, while Smith received some high praise throughout day two’s practice. McConkey was seen talking with Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, who has been drafting Georgia players for the past two seasons (George Pickens, Darnell Washington, and Broderick Jones).

McConkey, Smith, Bullard, Edwards, Mote, and Rosemy-Jacksaint will be on the field together one last time in their collegiate careers tomorrow afternoon when the American Team takes on the National Team at 1 p.m. EST on the NFL Network.
