Former Florida RB Trevor Etienne blasts Gators after transferring to rival Georgia - BVM Sports

The number of players who have entered the transfer portal that the Georgia Bulldogs have seen is nothing in comparison to what the Florida Gators are going through.

Trevor Etienne, a talented running back for Florida, accessed the transfer portal on Thursday. Etienne enters the portal alongside over a dozen other Gators.

Together with gifted safety Kamari Wilson, Florida’s best edge rusher Princely Umanmielen joined the transfer portal earlier this week.

For supporters of Florida, life is hard. Since the shoe-throw incident in 2020, the Gators have not experienced a winning season. Although the Gators have a quality recruiting class coming in, things may go south quickly.

Georgia football, on the other hand, has produced three straight winning regular seasons and two national titles since the shoe throw.

In the largest scoring margin in bowl game history, Florida State lost 63-3 to the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday in the Orange Bowl.

Florida State, per FSU Sports Info, was down 14 starters from its ACC Championship-winning roster with multiple players having opted out following FSU’s unprecedented exclusion from the College Football Playoff due to entrance into the NFL Draft or the transfer portal.
