Breaking News: Detroit lions lost on a trade deal to rivals for a talented WR Worth $32 million
The Detroit Lions are reportedly signing a former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver after rookie camp this week.
Davis had eight catches and a touchdown last preseason.
The Cardinals waived Davis on April 30 after he signed a futures contract with the team following the conclusion of the 2023 season.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Davis, a product of Division II Northwest Missouri State, originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Broncos out of college in 2022. He was on Denver’s practice squad before being waived on Jan. 11, 2023.
The 25-year-old would then join the Michigan Panthers in the USFL last year and amassed 83 receiving yards, 333 return yards, two touchdowns and 416 total yards in five games.
Arizona’s top wide receivers include No. 4 overall pick Marvin Harrison Jr., second-year wideout Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch, recently-signed veteran Zay Jones and Zach Pascal. The Cardinals also added one other receiver in the draft in UAB product Tejhaun Palmer, who was drafted 191st overall.
