JUST IN: 20 year old talented star prepares for Olympics debut

We conclude our look at Syracuse Orange athletes in the 2024 Summer Olympics with a look at Team USA hurdler Freddie Crittenden.

The former Orange All-American finished 2nd in the US Olympic Trials in the 110m hurdles in a new personal-best time of 12.93 seconds.

The breakthrough for Crittenden came at the most opportune time. At 29 years old and fighting to continue as an unsponsored athlete, Crittenden went into the US Trials with one more chance of making his Olympic dreams a reality.

After a stellar career at Syracuse where he was a four-time ACC Champion, Crittenden had found himself narrowly missing out on chances to represent the US at the Olympics or World Championships. He made last summer’s US team for Worlds and took that momentum into this year.
