The midfielder was released by Leeds United in the summer, but has now completed a switch to Pride Park. Spencer confirmed his move via social media and said: “Delighted to have signed for this massive club.”
Spencer moved to Leeds as a schoolboy from Sunderland’s academy in 2019 and can play as a defensive midfielder, a centre-back and full-back. He had featured regularly for the Whites’ under-21s in the last two seasons and signed an extension to his contract in February last year.
